Welcome to The Woodpecker’s Muse Art Gallery

The exhibit is largely about being confined — screened in — and the desperation of experiencing the world vicariously through windows, computer screens, cameras, etc. in.  The use of color to show light and movement are beyond “white” and “lineage” in his works but a space we all see uniquely. Meet the artist and enjoy a musical experience performed by Nagual whose style has been selected specifically to the Artists narrative by our Musical Director, Timothy Clark.  As always the gallery continues to provide a personal insight to the artist, their vision, and talent in a unique setting.  Ninkasi Brewing Company continues their support to the arts with donations of their fine brew for your consumption.  Hope to see you at the show!

Opening March 2nd, Sabrina Siegel

What is The Woodpecker’s Muse??? It’s an art Gallery, get it? Well, your not the first to question me. So here goes..

If you have ever tried to create an environment that described two people and the space they were in at it’s moment of creation you may reach a similar title. Vanity sometimes allows my interpretation to say “It’s Me”, if you have ever visited our Gallery you may have noticed it’s a little different, inviting and narrative. That is me! But that’s not what it means, the Gallery is a dream brought to reality by two artists (one degreed in the arts and one unemployed) finding a home to present their creations to the public. Doug Kacir, aka “The Woodpecker” due to his artistic use of wood and ability to peck out anything he is asked to impeccably from his own vision or others and a seamstress inspired by her family and friends.

So why “the Muse”, it’s like this.. I imagined the bird (woodpecker) flying thru the forest with so many choices in life but choosing that special spot to poke his way thru. The Muse is so many variables in that flight that art expresses in each of us in it’s creation or viewing. Thus a gallery was born.

This preview represents some of our past, present, and future displays for your viewing.

Really nice things…I like the painting of the baby face, and some of the leather products. Do you remember the tooled leather purses, from the 70′s? AM looking to find and but one…Doug do anything like that??? Great Gallery, love the site!!!
